This is my first email to my sister in law...I wasn't going to share, but thoght why not :)
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, it's been a little crazy here too.
So here's the scoop: Upon our arrival in Penza, we were picked up by Shan's (Levi's Boss) Driver. We got to the office and sat in his room for about an hour waiting on him. We then met with him and a few people and then went to lunch in a cafeteria. You have my word, I'll never take you to one of those!! :) We then got in the car and headed to Norvchat, which is where the farm is. There was a house they took us to look at for renting and we went to the farm. The house....was not ok! Oh my goodness! When we walked in the back gate, there was a bath tub in the yard and I'm pretty sure that they actually used it! We walked in and it was furnished, but from like 1900's. I didn't cry in the house, but don't you worry the tears flowed after we left. There is no way we could have lived in this house. It was almost uninhabitable. So after that we went to the "hotel." Which is basically a small apt complex that the farm owns, hoping to stay the night. We no rooms there.....so we went to four other hotels and no such luck. The last hotel we tried, the lady said our rooms are not very good, so Levi said just take us to Penza. We drove and hour and a half back to penza and stayed the night at a pretty good hotel. We rested well, which was nice after all the traveling.
Yesterday morning, we got picked up by a man in a little car like a Geo. We had 5 bags and both us of to fit! Needless to say, the bottom of a luggage bag was right behind me the whole way back to Penza! So we got to Penza and they found a room for us at the hotel. Come to find out they had made the translator for someone else move to the tv room and made another girl move into her room so we could have one. I felt really bad, but didn't know what else to do. We then ran to a store to get some stuff for the apartment and a bed for the translator...it was the least we could do. This apartment per say is the size of your bedroom. The kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom are all one room. I'll send pics. So I am a little disappointed that we aren't living in a better place, but Levi is going to see if we can find something else. We have a housing stipend, so if we can't find something maybe they will just give us the money haha.
Anyway, today hasn't been too much madness. We need to figure out the grocery shopping and small things like that. Levi is working all weekend, so feel free to send me a message, skype, or facetime. BTW, today was much much better, we are tired because we got up at 3 and went to bed at midnight. We couldn't sleep! But it was better. I just wish they had our car ready. Levi called today and they said that we should have one by 1.5 weeks and a phone
Ok...enough venting for now..sorry!
Don't worry things are better...or maybe I'm just getting more accustom to chaos!!
